Meteora della settimana: BABYBIRD.

Le settimane pre-elettorali distolgono anche dagi appuntamenti fissi o presunti tali, come per questo blog sono le meteore musicali, di cui parlo ogni mercoledì. Questa volta ci spostiamo in inghilterra, nel 1996, quando i BABYBIRD si fanno conoscere in tutto il mondo con la loro "You're Gorgeous"!



La band si forma nel '95 ad opera di Stephen Jones (voce), come gruppo "Indie". E' finito con l'avere successo con una canzone fin troppo pop.
Il carisma di Jones ha messo in secondo piano tutto il resto della band, il cui nome, a un certo punto, identificò non tanto il gruppo in sè, quanto il solo front-man.
Che fine ha fatto, quindi, Babybird? Dopo essersi messo a scrivere soggetti per fiction, è da poco tornato sulle scene con un album uscito nel 2006, "Between My Ears There Is Nothing But Music". Anche lui, ovviamente si è fatto un bel "Myspace".
